A brief respite

Today was the first day of sunshine after the past 4 days of incessant snow. There's still so much snow everywhere though. It isn't melting. They clear the roads and a narrow path on the pavements, but there is a wall of snow between the road and pavement, so it's like driving in tunnels all the time. (and I can't take any photos cos there isn't space for me to pull over due to the snow walls)

But here are some photos taken from my apartment

I wonder if the owners ever intend to drive these cars during winter. (Every apartment in my block has a covered parking lot, but some families have more than 1 car so their second car has to be parked out in the open.)

Here's something I learnt: if you need to park your car in the open and it's snowing heavily, lift your wipers up...this prevents them from being damaged by the weight of the snow. (No, my car wipers are fine...just explaining why the black car has its wipers up.)
