Saw a procession of Shinto priests at Meiji Shrine. Think many people are expected to visit the shrine at night. A wider temporary praying area was set up. Many food stalls were also set up in a separate area.

We celebrated New Year's in Roppongi, but I don't think it was a particularly great party. I've had better parties in Singapore's clubs. Maybe it's because Japanese people return to their hometowns to spend New Year's with their families.
