Medical check-up
Had to do the mandatory medical check-up for teachers at school today. Luckily, the doctor said that my BMI was ok. There have been other JETs who were told that they were chotto (a little) obese! I was quite worried that they'd tell me that cos I've put on weight. Heng ah! :)
Went into the x-ray bus and saw a male teacher buckling his belt..EEKS! Turns out there was a sign outside the bus saying that it was occupied, but I didn't read (nor could I have understood if I had read it). The nurse showed me a sheet of paper with translated instructions "take off all (emphasis mine) your clothes except your shirt". For a chest x-ray?! They obviously did not understand the word "all". It apparently applied only to clothes on the upper half of your body.
