Home sweet home

Strangely enough, I lost my appetite while I was back. :( Maybe it's the numerous exclamations "You've put on weight!" (7 out of 10 people I met said that and the remaining 3 were just being sensitive to my feelings...for which I am truly grateful) or the fact that my schedule was filled with breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner and even supper.

Anyway, these appear to be the top 5 food items I miss most (based on the frequency I ate these during these 2 weeks):
1. Sambal kangkong (5 times)
2. Dim sum (3 times)
3. Durian (2 times; third time failed to materialise cos of scheduling difficulty)
4. Roti prata (2 times)
5. Lobster (2 times)

Haha...boh liao trivia!

Anyway, before this trip, the thought of going home has actually been very daunting. Maybe I've settled so comfortably into life in Japan that I'm too scared to face the uncertainties back home. The good thing is this trip has actually given me the confidence and desire to return home next Aug. It's not that I'm not having a good time in Japan (cos I most certainly am) but I feel that I'm now ready to move on to newer things back home after I finish another fulfilling year here. YOSH!
