Sansai (Mountain vegetable)-picking

Went sansai-picking with my host family and Kyoko. Started raining when we were up on the mountain so we got soaked through and dirty :( Managed to pick quite a lot of vegetables though!

Lots of kogome (my favourite)...tastes good either boiled in soup or deep-fried tempura style

Fukinoto (looks like small bunches of yellow flowers...tastes pretty good), tori ashi (chicken feet...really looks like chicken feet!), warabi, kinome (very bitter!), etc.

Headed to an onsen to warm ourselves up after that! :)
