Prefectural orientation

Went to Niigata city for prefectural orientation. Quite a waste of time; only a couple of briefings were useful. But I did get to meet a few other new JETs from the prefecture so that was good.

Arghs! Tickets to Tokyo are all sold out coz everyone returns to their hometown during this O-bon period and they have all booked tickets to return to work in Tokyo the same time I wanna go to Tokyo! So anyway, I can only meet my aunty and uncle in Urasa on Friday :( (more on the O-bon festival later...)
