Sakura at Sumida Park

Went back to Tokyo, which is now at the tail end of the sakura season. The sakura trees were all in full bloom and the sakura had started falling. This period is regarded by the Japanese as the prettiest of the sakura season. (We were originally supposed to go to Takada Park for sakura viewing but changed our plans at the last minute because the sakura there had not bloomed yet.)

Went to Sumida Park in Asakusa. It's a pretty park by the river. There were some hanami parties and food stalls. Never fails to amaze me how people can be bothered to bring a portable stove to have nabe during their hanami parties.

There's nothing in the trees really. I made them point for this photo. :)
