School bags

In Japan, the school year starts in Apr and ends in Mar. Students have relatively fewer school holidays compared to Singaporean students - 1 month in summer (Aug), and 2 weeks each in spring (end Mar) and winter (end Dec-early Jan).

In anticipation of the re-opening of school, typical Japanese leather school bags (for primary school students) in a wide variety of colours have been on sale...check out how shockingly expensive they are!

The cheapest...10,000 yen (about S$130)...

Check out the prices, even after a whopping 50% discount!

Named "The Gem of the School Bag"...made in Japan and from some kind of special leather...limited to one exclusive piece per colour (but looks exactly the same as all the others)

55,000 yen is approximately S$715!
