Sakura festival at Takada Park

Went to the sakura festival at Takada Park, southern Niigata. Takada Park is one of the top three places in Japan to view cherry blossoms at night. It was really really pretty. All 3,000+ of the cherry trees were in full bloom and there were over 200 stalls set up selling all kinds of food items. The park used to be part of the Takada Castle, so there's a moat and bridges which make the place very picturesque.

This is the Sakura Road

There was a portable shrine procession.

Check out what some of the chaps are wearing! (mind you, it was a pretty cold and windy night. Temp was around 5-8 deg)
