Happy Labour Day
It is sadly not a public holiday in Japan. We do, however, get the rest of this week (from Wednesday to Sunday inclusive) free because there's a whole stretch of public holidays known as golden week. Heehee :)
My friend in Tokyo said that the temperature was a summer-like 30 deg today! Scorching! It was pleasantly warm for me over the weekend but the temperature has dropped to 8 deg today and it is cloudy/rainy. Am I really living in the same country as my friend?? I'm living just 1.5 hrs away from Tokyo by shinkansen...that's nearer than Osaka is to Tokyo!!
My friend's new boyfriend, who is Bangladeshi, is cooking us chicken and goat curry tonight, and there are home-baked brownies for dessert too. Yum! Haven't had our kind of curry in a looong time. Japanese curry is more like gravy.
